Living in the country offers its own unique challenges and opportunities. Come join me as we get a glimpse of what really happens in a small farmhouse tucked away from the cares of this world and how we try to live life in simplicity and a renewed sense of "downhome."

Back on Track
Well, we made it through the week. Calico Kid got better and went back to school, Mystery Girl made it through her school in good form, Dr. O worked all week, and I didn't get too impatient with the way the week went. I went a picked up homework for CK so he wouldn't get behind. So, I worked with MG during the day, and CK during the evening. Now, today is dedicated to getting MY things done. I am going to surf the internet, and maybe get on Facebook to catch up, adn finish my sewing project. I'm making a scarf to put on top of the piano when it gets here. It can't come until we have better weather tho. It is being transported in an open trailer. Anyway, I'm anxious for it to get here.
So, I'm not sure why Texas didn't evacuate, but I think it's a little dumb. I'm sure those who lost loved ones are wondering the same thing. I'm not sure I would want to trust govt. to make that decision for me.
And the trains in CA. What a day! There is a lot of sorrow in this world. I'm so glad that we are here and safe. We have our hard times, but we are still among the living and we have a home to live in. We are truly blessed.
