Ok, so Texas did order evacuation. Somewhere, I heard that they were not recommending evacutation. Which is really dumb. I have no clue where I heard that! Anyway, what's up with people who refuse to evacuate? Duh, there is lives at stake! Anyway, sorry about the misinformation.

Just a note to help you. I heard that the main costal area that was impacted was evacuated, but the areas further inland were told to just stay put and ride it out. They were wanting to avoid all of the traffic problems that occurred with Rita a few yrs. ago. That seemed to make sense to me. So, you were right on both counts.

I live in Texas and it is a mess here! I am in the Dallas area, not the coast. They asked people to evacuate, some people refused.
