I Love It- So Far Anyway

I'm back to school again and I love it! It feels so good to be back in the classroom using my brain for something besides remembering all the kids' squabbles! There is definitely a life beyond home and garden. The best part so far was walking into class and KNOWING that this was the right thing for me to do.

During first night orientation we were told that the twelve of us would become like family since we will be spending the next 18 months or so together as a group. Everyone goes through the program from beginning to end together, one class at a time. Every six weeks, we begin a new class. I LOVE that format. It is soooo much easier to focus on one class at a time. My first class is Research Methods. I can handle the reading and weekly assignments pretty well I think. The hard part for me is to come up with a viable research project. It needs to be interesting and relevant to the kind of job I did work or would like to work in. If you have ideas, let me know!

For those who have never done a mission statement or need to update it, I recommend the Franklin Covey website. It was a very easy and interesting activity. This is especially good if you don't really know what you are aiming for or what to aim for. I am a goal oriented person, so this will really help me to keep on track and acheive some new goals.

We also had to take a DISC personality profile. It was mostly accurate, but not entirely. It is a very subjective profile because you can answer the questions differently for different jobs or situations. So, it's hard to be concise. I think there's a lot of good information that can be used.

So, I guess that has been my week!
